Whatever happen to Tamar & Judah twin son’s Pharaz and Zarah? While we receive wisdom from Father God, let me bring you up to part.
Judah was the fourth son of Jacob, he is considerably recognized for being part of the twelve tribes. Judah married a Canaanite woman and they bare three sons Er, Onan, and Shelah.
Er took a wife whose name was Tamar. Nevertheless, he was not moral and was acquired by Father God.
After Er’s death, Judah advised Onan that he should wed his brother’s wife & they should bring forth children.
Now Onan married Er’s widow, but felt it wasn’t right to father his offsprings with her. So … He would ejaculate to the floor. This displeased Father God and he took Onan also.
Judah asked Tamar his daughter in law … To live with her father and remain a widow, until Shelah, his youngest son became an adult. Tamar agreed.
Now, as time passed Shuah, Judah’s wife died; and two of Judah friends Hirah and Adullamite, escorted him out on the town.
Tamar knew Shelah was now of age to join her … But Judah had not yet allowed the marriage. However, Tamar took matters into her own hands.
She removed her widow’s garment, covered her face and dressed as a prostitute. She then sat in place sure to be seen.
When Judah saw her, he believed her to be a harlot; because he couldn’t see her face. He politely asked for her company. She replied … What would you pay for my services?
He said … I will give you a baby goat from my flock.
She questioned … How do I know you will give it?
He then asked …What do you want for Collateral?
She said … Your signet, and bracelets, and staff which is in your hand. And he gave it, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.
Tamar returned home and put back on her widow’s garment. The next day Judah sent the goat to her by his friend Adullamit, but he could not find her. No prostitutes were known for that area.
And he went back to Judah, and said … I cannot find her; and the men of that place exclaimed, there are never any prostitutes around.
Judah knew it would be to embarrassing tracking down a harlot. So, he just accepted his property as a loss.
Tamar was in her third month of pregnancy, when the people reported this to Judah. Accusing her of whoredom. He summoned for Tamar. Now when she produced the signet, bracelet and staff explaining it belonged to her unborn child father. Judah understood why she had done this. He had not honored her with his last son.
Twin boys were born from this union Pharez and Zarah. which now represent the Red Lion and Red Hand of Judah.
